Syed Ahsanul Haque is a Civil Engineering professional with over 27 years of experience in construction, structural retrofitting, ground improvement, geotechnical investigation, hydrology, surveying, and disaster risk management. He earned his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) in 1999 and an M.S. in Disaster Management from the University of Dhaka. He further enhanced his expertise through Advanced Studies in Disaster Management and Climate Change at EPFL, Switzerland, and a prestigious Fellowship in Disaster Risk Management at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), supported by SIDA, Sweden.

Mr. Haque has extensive experience in construction supervision, structural retrofitting, geotechnical investigations, and topographical and hydrological surveys. He has successfully led and supervised the structural retrofitting of numerous ready-made garment (RMG) factories and industrial buildings across Bangladesh to improve structural safety and ensure compliance with national and international standards. He also has significant expertise in ground improvement through Jet Grouting technology, having implemented soil stabilization and foundation strengthening works for a wide range of garment factories, industrial facilities, and commercial developments.

Throughout his career, he has worked with leading national and international organizations, including EGIS-II, CEGIS, CDMP, the Swiss Red Cross, UNICEF-supported projects, and Environment & Infrastructure Management Solution (EIMS).

He participated in several national and international professional training programs and workshop such as USA, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Turkey, UAE, Ethiopia, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan and India over the course of his career.
