Dr. Ahmadul Hassan is a climate change, water, and disaster risk reduction specialist with over 40 years of experience across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. He holds a Ph.D. in Water and Flood Management from BUET and has served as a Technical Advisor at the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre since 2015. He specializes in anticipatory action, impact-based forecasting, early warning systems, and climate risk management, leading the development of flood, cyclone, and heatwave trigger models and Early Action Protocols in Bangladesh and other countries. Previously, he held senior positions at UNDP, CEGIS, and major World Bank-funded projects. Dr. Hassan has also authored and edited several influential publications on climate change adaptation, food security, and disaster resilience.
